Caring for Janette

Created by Antoneta 6 years ago

Being Janettes carer for two years, she was a pleasure to spend time with. When ever I went over, she would be waiting for me by her window and wave down at me when she saw me at the door. She would also wait at the window to wave me goodbye when I left the building, there were even a few times when I would be delayed walking out of the building and she would wonder down to check if I was okay! I felt like some one was caring for me too!

One of my funniest moments with Janette was every time we went for a walk. We would often walk around Muswell Hill and sometimes would bump into a lovely old gentleman. Every time, he would give Janette a big hug and sing to her. It was really sweet, but Janette was never impressed and suggest we go a different route next time!

She made me laugh all the time, especially with her love of chocolate. Whenever she was given boxes of chocolates, she would eat it all in one go!

For the two years looking after her, I was very happy because she was happy. She was always laughing and joking and so loved by everyone.
